Daniela Oyarzún Rojas is a lawyer from the Universidad de Chile, specializing in labor and social security matters.

She has focused her professional practice on corporate labor consulting for national and multinational companies, employment hiring and termination, development of compensation and benefits plans, strategic advisory in human resource management, labor compliance, labor audits, and identifying labor contingencies in mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to the above, she also has experience in union matters, collective bargaining, administrative claim procedures and labor litigation, including fundamental rights infringement, workplace accidents, anti-union practices, dismissals requiring special authorization, and unjustified dismissals. Additionally, she has expertise in visa and work permit processes for foreign workers.

She previously worked as Head of Labor Relations at Empresas Gasco (2017-2018), leading the company’s relationship with its various unions and overseeing all legal labor matters. This experience provided her with an integral understanding of internal company operations and the impact of different policies and decisions on workplace climate.

From 2018 to 2022, she served as Chief Advisor to the Undersecretariat of Labor, actively participating in the drafting, discussion, and implementation of various public policies and labor laws, including:
• Law No. 21.220 on telework and remote work;
• Law No. 21.165 on alternative part-time work for student workers; remote work;
• Law No. 21.327 on the modernization of the Labor Board; remote work;
• Law No. 21.361 on electronic labor documents; remote work;
• The Step-by-Step Labor Plan, among others.

She was also part of the executive secretariat of the Higher Labor Council.

Previously, she worked as an associate in the labor group at Morales & Besa (2013-2017) and as an associate at Carey y Cía. (2012).

Since 2022, she has been a professor of individual labor law at Universidad del Desarrollo.
